❗ Helpful but optional: help desk, desktop support or networking experience.
Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Selling point: this course includes lectures on the new Linux Essentials 2.0 exam material. LPI released version 2.0 of the Linux Essentials objectives (exam code010-200) in October 2026, and it changes what you must know. This course was built from the 2.0 objectives, so every new topic has its own lecture, with a live demo wherever a command is involved
ystemd with systemctl and journalctl,SSH, scp and key-based logins, the find command, if conditions in shell scripts,IPv6 and SLAAC, ip and ss, package managers, virtual machines, cloud and WSL, plus passkeys and multi-factor authentication. Retired 1.6 topics such as ifconfig, route, netstat and locate are not taught as exam material, so you do not waste study time.
Each section maps to one exam topic, and most lectures arelive terminal demos on Ubuntu that show real commands with real output. Every demo ends with a short "try it yourself" task, so you learn by typing.
Your instructor, Elias Machuca, is CCNA-certified and has 8 years in IT doing desktop support and field technician work. The course is built for people making the same move from help desk and on-site support into Linux, cloud and DevOps roles.
